Raw Material Selection | A Pure Beginning
High-quality ink begins with high-quality raw materials. Groundson has established a dedicated raw material quality control area where all pigments, solvents, resins, and additives undergo spectral testing and purity analysis upon arrival. We use only high-purity raw materials that meet international standards, eliminating the impact of impurities on printheads and print quality from the source.
Precision Dispersion and Grinding | Endless Fineness
Pigment particle size directly determines print fluidity and color performance. In our temperature- and humidity-controlled dispersion workshop, we use German-imported horizontal sand mills and dynamic separation systems to grind pigment pastes to the nanoscale (D90 ≤ 200 nm). Every batch is monitored in real-time by a particle size analyzer to ensure uniform particle distribution and stable dispersion, preventing printhead clogging.
Filtration and Defoaming | Pure Delivery
The milled semi-finished product enters a fully enclosed filtration system, utilizing multi-stage serial filtration (1μm → 0.5μm → 0.2μm) to thoroughly remove large particles and mechanical impurities. It then passes through a vacuum defoaming tower to eliminate microscopic air bubbles, ensuring the ink does not skip or string during high-speed printing.
Automated Filling | Clean and Sealed
Groundson’s filling workshop maintains a Class 10,000 cleanroom standard, utilizing automated volumetric filling machines combined with aluminum foil sealing and laser coding. Piping and containers are made of 316L stainless steel with Teflon coating to prevent cross-contamination. We offer a variety of packaging sizes ranging from 100ml to 20L, all of which undergo airtightness testing.
Quality Control Center | Data-Driven
Every batch of ink must pass a 12-point comprehensive inspection before shipment, including:
– Surface tension, viscosity, pH
– Conductivity, density, wet and dry friction fastness
– Water resistance, lightfastness, dynamic surface tension
– As well as online printing tests with mainstream printheads (Epson, Ricoh, Konica, Xaar, StarFire, etc.)
Our laboratory is equipped with a particle size analyzer, surface tension meter, spectrophotometer, and high-speed inkjet simulation test platform. All data is automatically uploaded to our quality traceability system, allowing customers to retrieve reports by batch number.
R&D and Application Center | Co-Creating with You
Groundson’s R&D team not only develops new formulations but also offers customization services. If you have requirements for special substrates (such as leather, glass, or textiles) or special effects (fluorescent, invisible, alcohol-resistant), please bring your samples to our application lab. Equipped with multi-brand industrial printheads and printing test machines, we can produce actual test prints for you within 24 hours.
Environmental Protection & Safety | Responsible Manufacturing
We comply with REACH, RoHS, and VOC emission standards. Our production facilities are equipped with solvent recovery systems, activated carbon exhaust gas adsorption units, and wastewater treatment stations. All operators have undergone GHS safety training, and hazardous chemical storage adheres to fire and explosion prevention regulations. At Groundson, we believe that exceptional ink should not come at the expense of the environment.
